Valentine

Peoples of the blog world it is good to be back!
I haven't posted since Sunday which has been a while than Valentine's Day came up and I was like, "Oh! The possibilities for a poem are literally endless!"
So here I am with yet, another, poem. Which is saying much since I've only posted one poem and I've only had three posts over all the first one being almost completely pointless, so! On with the lovely poem which does not have a name. You have an idea I'd love to hear it! Also I do not own Doctor Who or anything else familiar. I am simply borrowing them for today.

It's only once a year but it happens you can go anywhere,
You two hearts are close to mine,
As we are driving to who knows where,
But I am taking time to ask, "Will you be my Valentine?"

Your sweet and kind and funny,
So much fun to be around,
You mean more to me then money,
Just the sight of you causes me to jump up and down.

I know this isn't the best,
You've been everywhere and I'm nothing short of normal,
But if you take me on this quest,
I promise to be formal.

No matter where you are,
I'll keep a lookout in the stars,
For your funny blue car,
Thats not at all from Mars.

So I hope you all enjoyed probably this over cheesy mess of a poem. I was feeling very Doctor Whoish todya and this was yet another product of my imagination. :)
Have a great day and God bless,
-Gwen

Begin Again

So the other day I had been listening to Taylor Swift's "Begin Again." It's not a personal favorite but certainly gave way to many one shot ideas based on the song. Surprisingly the couple that kept coming to mind was the Black Widow and Hawkeye. (I know that not "officially" a couple but it works. And if not couple they are definitely good friends.) So here is a one shot that is a product of my imagination.

I do not own Taylor Swift's song or the Avengers. I am simply borrowing them for a bit. :)

Walked in expecting you'd be late
But you got here early and you stand and wave
I walk to you

She came in fully expecting her target to be late. She heard stories about Clint and of all the misnomers given to him "on time" was the best. Apparently he was strikingly handsome but not incredibly tall which was why she was picked for this particular mission. She was shorter as well and her employer was adamant that the American would quickly be falling for her red hair and more petite stature.

So when she came into the diner and saw him stand up and wave she couldn't hold back the surprised reaction that quickly took over her features. With practiced ease she slipped on a more cheerful expression and started walking towards him desperately trying to keep the butterflies in her stomach at bay. He was just another man but something about him seemed different then the rest of the men she had had to deal with. It took a moment but she quickly saw it was his eyes. They weren't hostile or glazed from too many hours of working; they were kind and welcoming. Something she was completely un-prepared for.

And you throw your head back laughing
Like a little kid...
Thinking all love ever does
Is break and burn and end

She tells stories, fake ones as to not reveal her identity, and he laughs. She holds back her astonishment as he tells another story and she picks up a hint of desperation from him when she doesn't laugh like he did. eventually she starts to get comfortable and laughs a little harder and a little more than she probably should but around him it's nearly impossible to keep a facade when he was being so honest and true.

She thought she knew love, the endless cycle of regret an pain, but Clint made it so hard not to love him back. Their fist time to ever see each other and she already felt almost a tiny bit in love.

At the end of the "date" she pushed back those feelings as he hugged her goodbye and left. But watching him go down the street she couldn't help it. She smiled thinking to herself it just might be time to begin again.

There you have it, hope it wasn't too bad. Thanks again for reading and God bless,

Too Many Books

Let's all take a moment and admit to this problem every good reader has: too many books.

It's not uncommon for a reader of many tastes to delve into any book they can get their hands on. It is also as equally as common for that reader to start and try to read more then one book at once. This is perfectly fine but as agreeably annoying. The innability to simply wait for the "next book" soon finds bored hands going into another one. Then the new book comes out and we solve the problem by simply reading two books at once.

For all those lovely readers out there with this problem (including myself) I have taken the great liberty of writing you a poem. It's not my best work so excuse me for any mistakes but I thought it a great way to begin my seond post. Thank you again for reading and I apologize if your trying to read this at the same time as something else. :)

Here it is:

The shelf to the right,
Yes I see you there.
You hold the greatest light,
Just look at the glare.

But if you think for second,
That it shall destract,
From the light in my hand which equally beckons,
I am so sorry for how I poorly react.

The shelf to the right,
I am coming to the thee.
The light is too bright,
Even for me.

I try and I try to read one at a time,
But for books that haven't cost me a dime;
It think I shall try one a quater to nine.
Even if their already mine.

Ok so this was a little short but I hope it is sincerely enjoyed. Thanks you again for reading. Good day and God bless,

The Beginning

Unfortunately I have never actually written a blog myself but I am very excited to get one started.
The title explains most of it, The Littleway of an Author; I am currently writing a book but enjoy poems and short stories as well. If I write one I deem "worthy" enough for someone to read besides those closest to me I might post it. Right now all my work looks like rough drafts.

I write fanfiction as well being a crazy Sherlock, Doctor Who, Lord of the Rings and Avenger fan; but I have yet to post anything  like that publicly as well. Also something I might do later...

I guess the point of this blog (if blogs are supposed to have pruposes) is to share some of my work with the world. It probably won't be written on everyday but definantly as quikly as I can. If anyone reads this they're welcome to send me requests of something they would like me to write. Again it won't be posted quikly but definantly would love to try. :)

Thanks to all who have taken the time to read this and God bless,
